Malkangiri: As many as 33 persons tested positive for COVID-19, taking the total cases to 2843 in the district on Tuesday.
According to district COVID-19 status released by the collectorate, maximum 12 cases were reported from Malkangiri Municipality area, followed by 8 from Malkangiri block, 6 from Balimela NAC, 5 from Kalimela block, and one each from Korukonda and Khoirput blocks.
While 32 were symptomatic, one was asymptomatic. Four COVID Warriors also tested positive for the coronavirus.
There are 274 active cases in the district at present, while 2561 persons have recovered and 8 succumbed to the disease.
