Cuttack: The city reported 343 new COVID-19 positive cases with most of them from local contacts on Wednesday.
Of the new cases, 52 were from institutional quarantine centres including 5 ‘COVID Warriors’. Of 91 patients detected in home quarantine, 8 were from Arunoday Nagar, 7 from Sector 10 of CDA and 6 from Bhanpur.
As many as 200 persons contracted the disease from the local contacts. They included 13 from Mangalabag, 12 from Chauliaganj, 11 from Bidanasi and 10 from Nayabazar.
With the day’s figure, the total COVID-19 positive cases in the city went up to 10,576. While 7903 patients have recovered, 40 succumbed to the disease. At present, there are 2633 active cases.
