Bhubaneswar: At least 36 women leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), holding organisational positions at the national level, will arrive in Odisha on a two-day visit on Thursday.
According to sources, each of the leaders will visit one organisational district of the BJP as a part of the party’s public outreach programme ahead of the 2024 general elections.
BJP state Mahila Morcha president Smruti Patnaik said that the leaders will meet women organisations and explain to them the welfare measures taken by the Central government in the last eight years.
Besides, the leaders will also take stock of women’s condition and the progress of implementation of various welfare measures by the state government and submit their reports to the Central leadership of the party.
Patnaik alleged that the prime accused of three major murder cases including Mamita Meher’s have been eliminated to protect three senior BJD leaders. Notably, the women leaders will also meet the families of the victims.
