Rourkela: Sundargarh district reported 52 more COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, to take the district’s tally to 725 on Tuesday.
Among the 52 cases reported, six are returnees from different states, seven are contacts of the previous positive cases and two are local contact cases with symptoms. However, the rest 37 cases are COVID Warriors. Out of the 37 home quarantined COVID warriors, 15 will be shifted to COVID health centres based on their health conditions.
Details of the new cases:
All patients have been shifted to COVID hospital Rourkela, COVID Health Centre, NTPC Hospital, Sundargarh and home quarantines.
However, there has been a sudden rise in number of cases in the district compared to last two days. Only 5 cases were reported on Monday and eight on Sunday after Saturday’s high of 44 cases in a single day.
With one death and 318 recoveries, the Sundargarh district now has 404 active cases.
