Baripada/Balasore: At least 37 students of two schools in Mayurbhanj and Balasore districts in Odisha were taken ill after consuming Ganesh Puja prasad.
Twenty-five students are from a primary school in Baunsabania panchayat in Balasore district’s Oupada block. All the children are from Kunia village. According to reports, the students complained of vomiting, nausea and uneasiness following which they were admitted to Nilagiri hospital.
The others are from Ekalavya Model School in Dhanghera in Mayurbhanj district’s Khunta block. After they started vomiting, the hostel warden rushed them to Udala sub-divisional hospital. They were later discharged.
