New Delhi: India saw the highest spike in COVID-19 cases on Wednesday with 386 people testing positive for the infection, taking the country’s count to 1,637.
According to the Union Health Ministry, 38 people have succumbed to the virus so far.
The WorldOMeters.info has put the recoveries at 148.
The sudden rise in the cases followed the discovery of a hotspot in Nizamuddin, Delhi, where around 2,000 people from all parts of the country and even abroad had congregated earlier last month.
