Bhubaneswar: The third National Chilika Bird Festival takes off at Mangalajodi in Khurda district on Friday with the participants leaving for the place in the evening.
The bird lovers can watch more than 10 lakh migratory birds of 200 species during the three-day festival at different locations, informed the Tourism department sources.
Before the festival, a photo exhibition on birds was inaugurated at Lokseva Bhawan in the city in the morning. The participants will travel from Bhubaneswar to Mangaljodi at 5.30 pm.
They will visit Chilika lake, Mangalajodi, Barkul and Rambha on the first day. On the second day of festival, they will visit Nalabana and Chandaka. The festival will conclude on January 10.
