4 Arrested By Police In Bhubaneswar For Smuggling Ganja

Bhubaneswar: Four persons were arrested for allegedly attempting to smuggle a huge quantity of ganja in Chandaka area of Bhubaneswar, police said on Sunday.

Acting on a specific information, a team of police personnel carried out raid at a location on Pitapali-Baranga road in Bhubaneswar and intercepted some vehicles in which the contraband was being transported illegally.

While cannabis weighing more than 66 kg was seized, four persons were arrested for illegally transporting the contraband.

The accused were identified as Bhima Madhab Dalai, Bablu Kumar Das, Manoranjan Rout and Khirod Kumar Sahoo.

Apart from ganja, six mobile phones, four cars and other articles have been seized from the accused persons. Further investigation is in progress.
