Bargarh: Four persons were arrested at Gourapada of Bargarh district on Friday for allegedly sharing a video of a girl on social media.
They were identified as Rabi Narayan Chhatar, Bimbadhar Mallick, Subodh Meher and Jagannath Chhatar.
The video shows a hostel owner misbehaving with the girl.
The victim’s father had lodged a written complaint against them in Bargarh Town police station.
According to the complaint, the hostel owner in Bargarh district had allegedly misbehaved with the girl. She had tactfully recorded the video to submit it as evidence with police. But, the video was later shared on WhatsApp.
A police team was later formed to nab the persons, who had made the video viral.
“Two cases have been registered under Section 292 of IPC and 67 of IT Act. As per the direction of SP, the investigation is on. Four persons have so far been arrested,” said Bargarh Town police station IIC Bibhuti Bhushan Bhoi.
