Bhubaneswar: The four-day Information Technology (IT) Expo-2023 took off at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
Minister of Science and Ashok Panda, Rural Development Minister Priti Ranjan Ghadai, and Chhatisgarh Givernor Biswabhusan Harichandan inaugurated the IT Expo organised by Information Technology Association of Odisha (ITAO).
More than 50 IT-based companies are participating in the Expo this time and more than 60 brands have set up stalls to showcase their products and services. It has Exhibition Space, Stall Space, Experience Zone, Food Zone and others.
The Expo, which will remain open to public from 10 am to 9 pm everyday till October 8, is organised on the theme “Discover Online, Experience Offline”. The organisers have drawn up several programmes on the IT ecosystem in Odisha.
Speaking at the inauguration, president of ITAO Avinash Pattnaik said the Expo offers a platform for IT enthusiasts, corporates and students to gain first hand information regarding updates on IT development around the world.
In the “Discover Online, Experience Offline” programme, organised for the first time in the Expo, the visitors can know about new technologies offline and have personal experience about those.
Avinash said there are also a host of provisions to meet the commercial needs and home solutions at the Expo. Those include digital display, motion control, touch technology, home automation, surveillance technology and others.
ITAO secretary Debasish Tripathy was also present at the inaugural function.
