Bhubaneswar: The 2nd edition of Propack Odisha International Expo 2023 and Odisha Plast International Expo 2023 for industrial collaboration has started at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar.
The 4-day event being organised by Small and Medium Enterprise (OASME) and Futurex Group in collaboration with Ministry of Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, and MSME department of Odisha government, was inaugurated by MSME Minister Pratap Keshari Deb on Friday. “Odisha is full of resources like minerals land, water, electricity and opportunities. Therefore, I urge local entrepreneurs to make the best use of these and the supportive policy by the state government. The OASME should organise such expos in a big way every year not only in Bhubaneswar but also other places in the state,” he said.
The minister also informed that work has started on plastic industries at Paradip by IOCL and another in Bhadrak. “Odisha has signed MoUs with various steel manufacturers which will ultimately boost the local entrepreneurs under MSME by giving them ample opportunities,” he added.
Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jen said that Odisha promotes such exhibitions to unveil potential grounds for plastic.
Gouri Shankar Das, OASME Chairman, said, “These exhibitions have been meticulously crafted to serve as a hub for various industries, ranging from food and beverages to pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, plastics, personal care, and household goods processing and packaging industries.”
The exhibition, which features a wide array of products, services, and technologies, will see the launch of more than 2000 products and an expected turnout of over 60,000 visitors, official sources said.
