Sambalpur: Four people died when a cattle-laden truck overturned on National Highway 53 at Katapali Chhak under Burla police limits in Odisha’s Sambalpur late on Thursday.
According to sources, the accident took place when the truck was en route to West Bengal from Bargarh. While three persons died on the spot, the driver, who sustained critical injuries, later succumbed at VIMSAR, Burla. Around 30 cattle heads were also killed.
Police have seized the vehicle and launched an investigation.
