Odisha gymnasts for World Challenge Cup

Bhubaneswar: Four gymnasts of the Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre (HPC) have been selected to represent the country at the FIG World Challenge Cup 2025 to be held in France and Hungary.

The quartet — Tapeswarnath Das, Tapan Mohanty, Pranati Nayak and Tanu – is among 11 gymnasts selected from the national camp which was held at Odisha AM/NS Gymnastics HPC from July 22 to August 30.

Tapeswarnath and Tapan will compete in men’s Artistic Gymnastics at the FIG World Challenge Cup in Paris on September 13 and 14, followed by the World Challenge Cup at Hungary’s Szombathely from September 26 to 28.

Pranati and Tanu will showcase their skills in women’s Artistic Gymnastics at the FIG World Challenge Cup at Szombathely.

Ahead of the tournaments, the entire Indian contingent will attend a national foreign exposure camp in Paris from September 1 to gain experience in training and competing in a world-class environment.

Ashok Kumar Mishra, chief coach at Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics HPC will accompany the gymnasts to the foreign exposure camp in Paris.
