Bhadrak: At least four people were injured, one of them critically, after two groups entered into a violent clash in Dhusuri area of Odisha’s Bhadrak district on Thursday.
As per sources, the clash took place at Godipokhari Bazaar under the jurisdiction of Dhusuri police station.
The clash reportedly took place following heated arguments after members of a group allegedly tore the flag of another a group belonging to a community.
Four persons were injured in the incident. They were rushed to a hospital for treatment. One of them who was critically injured was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
Police personnel in strength have been deployed in the area following the violent incident, while prohibitory orders under section 163 of BNSS were clamped in the village and surrounding areas as a precautionary measure to prevent any further flare up.
The prohibitory orders will remain in force till 10 pm of September 21, official sources said.
The local police have been directed to make announcement about the promulgation of section 163 through loud speaker in the area and take necessary action to disperse any gathering. Local authorities have been directed to take necessary steps to maintain law and order and disperse any mobs that may gather.
Police have taken three persons into custody for their alleged involvement in the violence, the sources said.
