Bhubaneswar: Four persons, including a patient, were injured after an ambulance rammed into a private college bus on NH-16 near PN College Chhak in Odisha’s Khurda district.
According to sources, the accident took place when the ambulance was en route to Kolkata from Tamil Nadu. A team of Fire Service personnel rescued the injured stuck inside the mangled remains of the ambulance using a gas cutter. They were then admitted to district headquarters hospital in Khurda.
The 30 students travelling in the bus are stated to be safe.
While police have launched an investigation, the driver of the ambulance attributed the accident to brake failure.
