Keonjhar: Four employees of a shopping mall reportedly sustained injuries as a major fire broke out inside it in Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Sunday.
The fire broke out in the building of Reliance Trends at Anandpur in the district in the afternoon. Thick smoke was found coming out of the building, which was open at the time, due to the fire.
On being informed, Fire Brigade rushed to the spot and launched an operation to extinguish the fire. At least four Fire Brigade vehicles were engaged to bring the inferno under control.
The Fire personnel managed to rescue 8 employees trapped inside the smoke-filled mall. Four of them, who had sustained injuries, were rushed to the local hospital, sources said.
Fortunately, no customer was present in the mall at the time the fire broke out. The Fire personnel suspected that the fire might have started due to short circuit of electrical connections inside the building.
