Berhampur: At least four persons were injured after some miscreants hurled bombs at them at a village in Sorada area of Odisha’s Ganjam district on Saturday.
As per preliminary information, the incident took place at Keshara village under the jurisdiction of Sorada police station in the district.
Sources said five persons were returning home in three bikes after work when the bomb attack took place. The miscreants suddenly hurled bombs on the bikers. As the victims fell down, the miscreants attacked them with sharp weapons, causing grievous injuries to four persons.
The injured, identified as Laxman Nahak, Suresh Panigrahi, Krushna Nahak and Prasana Gouda, were rescued by locals after the attackers fled the scene.
They were admitted to the community health centre (CHC) at Sorada.
The attack was suspected to have been triggered by past rivalry and efforts are on to trace the miscreants.
