Bhubaneswar: Students found a discrepancy in Science question paper of the annual Matric Examination, being conducted by Odisha Board of Secondary Education (BSE), on Saturday.
Students and teachers flagged the issue in ‘C’ set paper in which an objective question, carrying 4 marks, was missing. The candidates in Baripada town appeared for the exam for 46 marks instead of 50 marks
The BSE admitted to the error in the ‘C’ set Science question paper and assured the students to consider the issue during evaluation. “A question carrying 4 marks was missing in ‘C’ set question paper. The examination conducting body will look into the matter during evaluation of answer sheets. It will not cause any problem to students,” said BSE President Srikant Tarai.
He further informed that 11 students were also caught using unfair means during the exam.
