Bhubaneswar: Four Odia officers are among 36 Principal Commissioners of Income Tax who were promoted as Chief Commissioners of Income Tax on Tuesday.
The Odia officers chosen to be promoted are Manoranjan Panigrahy, Bijayananda Pruseth, Debendra Narayan Kar, and Simanchala Dash.
Panigrahy was the Principal Commissioner of Income Tax in Cuttack and served as the Secretary of Odisha Culture, Information and Public Relations Department. He was in the post for the past five years.
Pruseth, who has been working as the Principal Commissioner of Income Tax in Sambalpur, had worked in Cuttack district of Odisha and other states.
