Nayagarh: Odisha’s Nayagarh district SP has suspended four personnel of Reserve Police for alleged misconduct in a public place.
According to sources, two groups of police personnel were engaged in a dispute over printing of a card on Trinath Bazaar Road in Nayagarh town on December 31. As the argument escalated, the police personnel resorted to violence and assaulted each other in presence of the people.
Later, both groups even filed complaints against each other at Nayagarh police station.
Taking a serious note of the behaviour of the police personnel in a public place, Nayagarh SP suspended four police personnel for dereliction of duty and misconduct.
The suspended police personnel are Sanjay Mahapatra, Muna Behera, Dillip Behera, and Durga Madhav Dora, the sources said.
