The samples of people with a travel history to China were sent from Regional Medical Research Centre in Bhubaneswar to NIV Pune, which has been declared as the nodal for coronavirus testing.

Among the four were three Chinese contractors and a local, media reports said.

Two days after an Odia MBBS student from China was referred to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, another medical student was admitted to the hospital on Sunday after she underwent thermal screening at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar and was found in poor health.

The students have been kept in an isolation ward of the hospital for observation. Their blood and swab samples too have been sent to NIV, Pune, for tests.

To check the Coronavirus infection, the Odisha Health and Family Welfare Department on Monday issued four telephone numbers (0674-2390466/9439994857/9439991221/9437040564) and requested people to immediately inform about health of those who have arrived in the state from China, Hong Kong, Thailand and Singapore.

The virus has so far claimed 361 lives in China with 17,205 confirmed cases and 475 discharged from hospital, according to the National Health Commission.
