Bhubaneswar: The police on Monday arrested four youths for allegedly hurling bombs at a shoe showroom in Saheed Nagar of Odisha capital late Sunday night.
As per the complaint filed by the owner of the showroom, the accused persons, Kanha Mangaraj of Jharpada and his friends Bishal Srichandan, Mir Riyauddin and Rahul Kumar Sahu, used to sit in front of the shop and harass the customers.
When the showroom owner told the youths, all in the age group of 19-20, not to create disturbance there, the latter had an argument with him recently. The youths allegedly misbehaved with the owner and had a fight with his son.
On Sunday night, the group came to the shop and started pelting stones. They also hurled country bombs at the showroom. On the impact of the bomb explosion, the glass panels of the showroom were broken.
Acting on the complaint, police arrested all the four youths and seized the vehicle used by them in the crime. Further investigation is on, police sources said.
