Cuttack: The Cuttack cyber police busted a racket and arrested five persons, including four Youtubers, for allegedly selling school exam question papers.
The accused have been identified as Jyotiranjan Barik of Dhamnagar, Sushant Kumar Bishi of Bhadrak, Sahil Kumar Mishra of Atabira in Bargarh district, Saishankar Patra of Hinjili in Ganjam, and Ghanshyam Beura, a government teacher from Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj district.
The group allegedly sold exam question papers of Class 8 to 10 through digital platforms.
A complaint in this regard was lodged by secretary of the Odisha Secondary School Teachers’ Association (OSTA) Ranjan Kumar Dash in November last year after he found that that question papers of school-level exams from October 28 to November 4, 2024, were leaked.
Follow which, the Cyber police launched an investigation and identified accused with technical information from Google and other platforms. Six mobile phones and a tablet were seized from them.
Further investigations are underway to ascertain involvement of more people in the racket, sources said.
