Jharsuguda: A four-year-old boy was crushed to death in a paddy threshing machine at Barangamala village under Banaharapalli police limits in Jharsuguda district on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Soumya Ranjan, son of Kishore Chandra Bhoi of Barangamala village.
According to sources, the incident took place when Krushna was threshing paddy in the machine. His son, who was playing near the machine, accidentally fell into it and got crushed.
Soumya was rushed to the TRL Krosaki hospital in Belapahada, but the doctors declared him brought dead.
On being informed, the police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem.
