Bhubaneswar: The state witnessed a new high in the fight against COVID-19 as 4,061 patients recovered from disease and were discharged from different hospitals in the state on Friday.
Of the new recovered cases, highest 744 were reported from Khurda, 425 from Cuttack, 267 from Sundargarh, 244 from Bargarh, 240 from Mayurbhanj, 187 from Balasore, 185 from Jajpur, 179 from Kendrapada, 167 from Angul, 157 from Ganjam, 132 from Puri and 130 each from Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur and Jharsuguda, according to the Health And Family Welfare department.
Similarly, there were 78 recoveries in Keonjhar, 77 in Sambalpur, 74 each in Koraput and Nuapada, 59 in Nabarangpur 50 in Dhenkanal 48 in Nayagarh, 45 in Rayagada, 37 in Kalahandi, 33 each in Balangir and Sonepur, 32 in Kandhamal, 31 in Boudh, 26 in Deogarh, 24 in Malkangiri, and 23 in Gajapati district.
With the day’s figure, the total number of recovered patients in the state has gone up to 1,12,062.
