Bhubaneswar: On the first day of COVID vaccination for the 15-18-year-olds in the capital city, 4,107 got jabbed on Monday.
According to the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation, out of the 4,350 youngsters who had registered for vaccination, 243 (5.9 per cent) had dropped out. The total vaccination target in the group stood at 94.41 per cent.
The drop out rate in other age groups was very high. While it was 55.65 per cent in the case of 18-44 years group, it was 70.08 per cent in the 45 years above category.
Only 383 out of the targeted 1,280 turned up to take their shots in the 45 years and above age category and 1,357 out of the targeted 3,060 turned up in the 18-44 year old group.
