Jeypore: With an overnight addition of 80 new COVID-19 cases, the affected tally in Koraput district touched 771 on Friday.
Among them, 63 are local contact cases while 11 have been reported from home quarantine. The rest six are from Temporary Medical Centres (TMC).
Of the local contact cases, 42 are from a containment zone. Four returnees from Bhubaneswar are among the 17 quarantine cases, the district administration tweeted.
The highest of 30 cases have been reported from Jeypore municipality.
Three health personnel and five police personnel have also been infected, it added.

Amid rising COVID-19 cases, the district administration had declared a 48-hour shutdown in the entire district on Thursday.
With 221 recoveries, Koraput now has 550 active cases.
