Cuttack: On the first day of the CMC’s slum eviction drive on Tuesday, as many as 42 temporary houses and structures were demolished in Khannagar of Odisha’s Cuttack city.
The Cuttack Municipality Corporation (CMC) launched eviction drive for construction of 6-lane ring road to Netaji Bus Terminus. With the construction of the ring road, the bus terminus will be directly connected to the National Highway 16 which will facilitate the passengers.

They will be resettled near Dhableswargada in the city. Besides, each family will be given assistance of Rs 50,000 by the district administration.
