Sambalpur: The COVID-19 tally in Sambalpur district went up to 1,534 on Tuesday with 53 positive cases reported overnight.
Besides, a 42-year-old man succumbed to the virus, taking the district’s death toll to eight on Tuesday.
The district administration informed that the highest of 42 fresh cases were reported from Sambalpur municipality, followed by six from Rengali, three from Jamankira block, and two from Kuchinda.
