Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in Odisha touched 1,92,548 on Wednesday with 4237 new cases in the last 24 hours.
These cases have been detected in all 30 districts of the state following the test of 45,321 samples (RT-PCR: 8599, Antigen: 36607, Truenat: 115) on Tuesday.
According to I & PR department, 2485 are quarantine and 1752 local contact cases.
While Khurda district reported the highest 647 new cases, Cuttack district saw another 577 cases followed by Puri (219), Jharsuguda (205), Jajpur (201), Jagatsinghpur (173), Balasore (161), Kendrapada (148), Mayurbhanj (139), Bhadrak (136), Sonepur (131), Bargarh (121), Nuapada (115), Sambalpur (111), Angul (110), Sundargarh (101), Koraput (89), Ganjam (71), Dhenkanal (70), Nabarangpur (70), Balangir (67), Kalahandi (57), Kandhamal (55), Rayagada (51), Nayagarh (50), Malkangiri (44), Boudh (43), Keonjhar (42), Gajapati (42) and Deogarh (22).
Besides, the state pool has 169 cases.
The state has 1,53,213 recovered and 38,546 active cases.
Notably, Odisha has been reporting over 4000 cases for the last eight days, totalling to 33,898 cases which 18 per cent of total infections.
The state has also witnessed a rise in daily positivity rate, ranging from 8 per cent to 9 per cent. More cases are pouring in from Khurda, Cuttack and Puri.
