New Delhi: A one-and-a-half-month-old child has become the youngest COVID-19 victim in India. The child had contracted the virus from a doctor and died at Delhi’s Kalawati Saran Children’s hospital on Saturday.
According to media reports, a senior resident doctor had tested positive for the virus about three days ago. The results of one more doctor, three nurses and a few other staff members, who had come in contact with the senior resident, were also found to be positive for the infection.
Since they were engaged in childcare at the hospital, the children too were tested and two among them were found infected.
The condition of the other child is stable, the reports added.
