46th Honorary Doctorate Degree For Odisha’s Achyuta Samanta

Bhubaneswar: Dr Achyuta Samanta, the Founder of KIIT & KISS, was conferred with the prestigious Honorary D. Litt. Degree by the Sikkim Professional University for his relentless contribution to social service and education at the 5th convocation ceremony of the university on May 8.

This is the 46th Honorary Doctorate degree for the eminent educationist and philanthropist.

Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Minister of State for Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of India, was the chief guest at the virtual convocation.

Thanking the Sikkim Professional University for recognizing his work, D. Samanta said it is very important for the youth to learn kindness, empathy and become good human beings.

They should be willing to give back to society and act as responsible citizens; live each moment and give back to society whenever possible, he told students.
