Bhubaneswar: Minister of State for Home Dibya Shankar Mishra on Saturday informed the State Assembly that a total of 48 policemen of Odisha have died of COVID-19 till date.
Replying during the zero hour, the minister said while 48 policemen have died on the COVID duty, 1002 policemen have donated plasma to save the lives of the COVID-19 patients.
Stating that the state government has recognised the policemen as the frontline warriors in recognition of their services during the pandemic situation, he said a total of 54,684 policemen have been given the COVID vaccines.
