A 70-year-old man from Punjab became the fourth victim of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in India on Thursday. He had reportedly traveled to Germany and Italy.
For Punjab, this is the first death due to coronavirus.
Globally, 9,277 people have died and 225,484 tested positive for the deadly virus. More than 85,000 have recovered.
In India, the number of positive cases is 173 with 20 recoveries.
Earlier, a 76-year-old man from Karnataka’s Kalaburagi, a 68-year-old woman in Delhi, and a 64-year-old man in Mumbai have died due to the disease.
