4th Day Of War: Israel Targets Iranian Airports, Destroys Passenger Plane

Plane hit at Iran's Bushehr airport

Tehran: As the war between US-Israel and Iran entered the fourth day, both sides carried out relentless attacks to establish their supremacy.

Israel sounded evacuation warnings in several parts of Tehran before hitting the Mehrabad airport, according to Iranian news agencies.

Mehrabad airport, which used to serve as the Iranian capital city’s primary airport, currently handles domestic traffic following the openi

ng of Imam Khomeini International Airport in 2007.

In another significant strike, a passenger plane on ground was destroyed in an attack on Bushehr airport. Bushehr is a major port city in southwestern Iran.

Iran also broadened its retaliatory attacks on American and Israeli targets in the Gulf region on Tuesday.

The US Embassy in Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh was struck by drones. Explosions were reported in Iraq and sirens sounded over Bahrain.

Israel also carried out strikes on Hezbollah targets in Beirut.

Earlier in the day, US President Donald Trump said the “big wave” of American attack on Iran is still to come. He reiterated his objectives of the war, saying the US aims to destroy Iran’s missile capabilities, annihilate its navy, end its nuclear ambitions and stop Tehran from arming militant groups.
