Puri: Sea Beach police in the town on Thursday arrested five anti-socials from a place in Talabania area.
Acting on a tip-off, the police raided the place on the sea beach while they were hatching plan to commit robbery and nabbed them. One pistol and other sharp weapons were seized from their possession.
The arrested persons were identified as Jagan Behera (24) of Railway Colony, Karan Khaudia (21) of Shreekhtra Colony, Sukanta Nayak of Railway Colony, Guiltykalu @ Subash Mohanty (36) of Darjipokhari Chhak and Somanath Sahoo (26) of Delta Colony.
The police have registered a case under various sections of IPC and Arms Act. The arrested have been forwarded to court.
