Berhampur: Police on Sunday arrested five persons in connection with the bomb hurling incident here the previous night. Three motorcycles, four swords and four live bombs have been seized from them.
According to police sources, two persons, identified as Upendra Behera and Sushant Patra, were attacked with swords at Fast Gate area of Berhampur last night. The attackers then hurled bombs at them and fled the spot.
The victims, who sustained serious injuries, were admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital. While Behera succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital, Patra’s condition is stated to be critical, the sources added.
