5 Children, Teacher Injured As Plaster Chunk Falls Off Ceiling At Anganwadi Centre In Odisha’s Angul

Angul: At least five children and a teacher were injured when a chunk of plaster fell off the ceiling at an anganwdi centre in Athmallik area of Odisha’s Angul district on Wednesday.

According to sources, around 30 children were present at the anganwadi centre located at Jhilimunda under Athmallik area of the district when the incident took place.

The children were in a room when the plaster chunk fell on them, causing injuries to at least five of them. An Anganwadi teacher also sustained injuries in the mishap.

The injured were taken to a hospital nearby for treatment. Their condition was stated to be stable. Further details are awaited.
