5 Held With Huge Illicit Liquor In Bhubaneswar During Raid Ahead Of Elections

Bhubaneswar: Intensifying the drive against illegal activities ahead of the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Odisha, police arrested five persons and seized over 1300 litres of country-made liquor from them in Bhubaneswar.

A special drive was conducted by a team of Chandaka Police Station staff in Mahula, Kujimahal and Simili Patna areas on the outskirts of the capital city on Tuesday and apprehend five accused persons.

During the raid, police seized 1300 litres of illicitly distilled liquor from the accused persons.

The accused persons were identified as Chinmaya Maharana (22), Pranakrushna Parida (42), Manas Bhoi (36), Tapan Paikaray (44), and Manoj Das (28).
