Rourkela: At least five people were injured while three vehicles were
torched after a clash broke out between two groups at Patkurbahal
under Kutra block in Sundargarh district late on Friday.
The vehicles torched in the clash include a dumper, a car and one
motorcycle. Four shop rooms were also set on fire during the clash.
“As many as 15 persons from both sides were arrested in connection
with the incident.
Four platoons of police force were deployed in the area to prevent any
untoward incident. We have decided to hold discussion with the locals
to bring back peace in the locality”, a senior police officer said.
The incident was the fallout of an old enmity. A similar clash also
took place two months ago between these two groups over some issue.
