Bhubaneswar: Unidentified criminals looted gold ornaments from a couple taking a morning walk in Phase-VII of Sailashri Vihar under Chandrasekhar police limits on Friday.
Sources said five unidentified criminals came on two bikes and created panic among the public in Phase-VII of Sailashri Vihar area. They snatched gold ornaments from a woman morning walker by threatening her. When her husband came to her defence, they attacked him with a knife. Suddenly, residents arrived on the scene but the criminals threw stones at them and broke window panes of houses before fleeing from the spot.
A complaint in this regard has been lodged with the police, who have launched a manhunt for the criminals.
