Cuttackr: Police arrested five person from Malgodown area in Cuttack on Friday in connection with a loot incident. A motorcycle and Rs 55,600 in cash were seized from their possession.
“Earlier, a case was registered at Malgodown police station based on a complaint that Rs 5.15 lakh was looted from the area. Acting on the complaint, raids were conducted at several places and the looters nabbed from their hideout,” a police officer informed.
On the other hand, three miscreants looted cash to the tune of Rs 10,000, one gold chain and a ring from a person at gunpoint near Patalia Square on Puri-Konark road this afternoon. The robbers fled the spot immediately after committing the crime.
