Bhubaneswar: As many as five Odisha girls have been named in the Indian squad for the FIH Women’s Junior World Cup to be held in Chile from November 29 to December 10.
The chosen quintet from Odisha are – goalkeeper Madhuri Kindo, midfielders Jyoti Chhatri and Sujata Kujur, forwards Dipi Monika Toppo and Sunelita Toppo.
Defender Preeti will lead the 18-member squad announced by Hockey India on Thursday.
India have been placed in Pool C, and will face Canada on November 29, Germany on November 30 and Belgium on December 2.
