Puri: At least five persons were injured in a series accident involving a speeding car in Odisha’s Puri district on Sunday.
According to sources, the accidents took place on Nimapara0Gop road in the district. In the first incident, Ratna Kumar Panda of Begunia under Gop block was coming on his bike with two others to Nimpara. The car, which was on a high speed, hit them at Dhirpur square and sped away.
In the second incident, the escaping car hit the motorcycle of Dilip Behera of Kadua Patana village while he was going on the same road to Nimapra with another person.
All the five persons on the two bikes were injured in the accidents. The local people rushed to them to community health centre.
On being informed, a team from Nimapara police station went to the spot and started investigation. The car driver has been absconding with the vehicle.
