Puri: Five pilgrims sustained critical injruies after an SUV they were seated in rammed into a tree in Odisha’s Puri district on Sunday.
The mishap took place near Gop when the pilgrims were returning from Konark and heading to Puri for Lord Jagannath’s darshan, said sources.
The injured passengers were rushed to Gop hospital (CHC) from where they were shifted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
Sources added that the passengers belonged to Dhenkanal and are currently undergoing treatment in the Odisha capital.
