Berhampur: He is barely five-and-a-half years old, but D Hareskrishna Patro has already etched his name in the prestigious India Book of Records.
This wonder kid from Berhampur achieved the feat by reciting 35 binomial scientific names of fruits, plants and animals in just 1 minute and 25 seconds.
That’s not all. Last month, Hareskrishna was awarded a place in India’s World Records organised by the IWR Foundation in Jamshedpur. He earned the record for being the youngest to recite the scientific names of 30 organisms in shortest period of time.
The boy’s mother, M Sonam Patro, informed that Hareskrishna could learn the scientific names due to his curiosity.
“Since childhood, his mind has been able to register many things quickly. Whatever is discussed or told to him, he captures them very quickly,” Hareskrishna’s father Rajesh Kumar Patro told the media.
“At this stage if he has so much of knowledge, we are sure he will shine in the future. We are a well-educated family and will make every effort to support his quest for knowledge. We are sure he will bring laurels to the state as well as the country in the future,” the proud father added.
