50% Hike In Gratuity For Staff Of Govt-Aided Schools & Colleges In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday announced 50% hike in the gratuity for teachers and staff of government-aided schools and colleges in Odisha.

The death and retirement gratuity for teaching and non-teaching staff has been increased from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 7.5 lakh, according to an official release.

It further stated that the decision was taken following requests from various teachers’ unions to consider their demand for an enhancement.
