As per preliminary information, around 50 kilograms of gold and over two quintals of silver have been seized during a special operation conducted by the CT & GST sleuths following a tip-off.

The total value of the seized gold and silver was estimated to be around Rs 30 crore. However, the source of the consignment is yet to be ascertained.
Investigation is underway to ascertain the source and destination of the consignment. Four persons have reportedly been detained for questioning as part of the probe, the sources added.
