Puri: A total of 50 persons associated with Jagannath Temple in Puri have tested positive for COVID-19 so far, said the temple administration on Monday.
Talking to the media, temple administrator (Development) Ajay Kumar Jena said 22 among them are sevayats and their family members, 19 staff of the shoe stands near the 12th-century shrine and nine temple staff.
Referring to the return of Kumbh Mela devotees, he said that a total of 17 devotees have returned from Haridwar in Uttarakhand and among them, two have tested negative and the reports of the 13 others are awaited.
However, the remaining two devotees are yet to undergo the test, he added.
