54 Among 59 New COVID-19 Cases From This Area In Odisha’s Sambalpur; 8 Corona Warriors Infected

Sambalpur: The COVID-19 tally in Sambalpur district surged to 1328 on Friday with an overnight addition of 59 new positive cases.

According to the district administration, 32 of these cases have been detected during active surveillance, while 27 are contact cases and eight are CORONA warriors.

The highest of 54 cases have been reported from areas under Sambalpur Municipal Corporation (SMC) limits, followed by three from Rengali and one each from Maneswar and Kuchinda.

Contact tracing of all the cases is underway, the administration tweeted.

The district also reported one more death in the last 24 hours.

With three deaths and 788 recoveries, the Sambalpur district has 537 active cases.
